End of the Trail

Well kids, folks, family and curious internet watchers from Pedro (amazing what a tracker will show), this is the end of the trail.

My flight to Seattle is already boarding, people have their cell phones out and again I am feeling amazingly out of place. Todd, Kimmy and I hung out for a bit and tried to not talk about the truth that was upon us: that we were heading home and soon to not know when we were returning.

All's well that ends well.

Congrats on making it through. I know it's hard, and I know that it's even harder to stick with it for as long as you did. I am sure that you made one hell of a difference in a bunch of kid's lives and gave then chances and perspectives that they wouldn't otherwise have seen. Cheers!

I was only there for 5 wks., I can't imagine how surreal your life will be after the time you've spent in Kokhanok. The first time I was there I stayed in a BLM camp and didn't mix with the villagers. I've got too many children to support to spend much time there but I'd live there if I could. I can't understand exactly why but that place and the people hold a very special place in my heart.
