Roadtrip

My vacation home was fun. Fun meaning rushing from one relaxing event to another ... but that's the life.

My friend Jared came to Alaska with me and together we took a roadtrip to Homer. Homer is very much like La Conner except that it's damn cold and full of drunk or close to getting drunk hippies and fishermen. The highlight in Homer was seeing the eagles along the infamous Homers Spit. On the drive back to Anchorage we saw three moose (or is it mooses?), one of which was located in downtown Anchorage!

We also witnessed a headon collision. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

We also visited the wild animal preserve watching bison fighting, Sitka Deer licking our hands and musk oxen looking tough.

We flew out of a blizzard in Anchorage to clear skies, rocky peaks, last frozen lakes and violent winds. We landed in Port Alsworth on Six Mile Lake - if you've ever watched PBS's "One Mans Wilderness", you will know the terrain.

Now I'm back in the wonderland of KOK writing this and pondering what tomorrow's lesson should be.

Apparently, that Elk thought you, or your camera, was to be tasty.

(Glad you weren't the ones IN the collision.)
